Nicolette van Bruggen - Founder

Our Inner World Leads the Outer World

The Company Coach:
A Journey from experience

Growing up as the oldest in an entrepreneurial family, Nicolette quickly developed a natural talent for leadership that propelled her through an impressive career in the fashion industry.

"Taking care of people is in my genes," Nicolette reflects. This innate quality guided her through 30 years of leading multi-disciplinary teams at international fashion retailers and wholesale brands, including prominent positions as: Chief Product Officer (CPO) at O'Neill, Director at WE Fashion for over 10 years,  and Category Manager at HEMA.

Throughout her career, she led design, buying, merchandising, sourcing, marketing, and retail teams across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. This wealth of experience provided her with unique insights into the challenges leaders face daily.

The Turning Point

In 2018, Nicolette made a decisive career shift. After repeatedly she was increasingly growing unhappier within the corporate world and started facing health issues, so she decided to channel her leadership background into a new mission: "I started coaching mainly to help other leaders like me who were struggling with their careers.

" This realization led her to launch The Company Coach, driven by a profound mission to make the corporate world healthier by helping leaders embody their authentic selves. For the past 7 years, Nicolette has dedicated herself to integrative coaching, counseling, and mentoring leaders and managers. Her approach combines her extensive corporate experience with a deep understanding of human psychology and well-being.

A Powerful Mission

Nicolette's mission crystallized into a powerful Threefold:

01.
Mental health care should become as normal as the gym

"I wondered why modern companies had salad bars and gyms but nothing for our minds. I wanted to make mental maintenance as normal as going to the gym twice a week."

02.
Making the best coaches and therapists visible

"Quality isn't always visible. Like Van Gogh who never received recognition during his lifetime, great coaches deserve to be seen so that companies can benefit from their value."

03.
As the world evolves rapidly, humanity must not lag behind

"Technology has many answers, but the real difference comes from asking the right questions. I help people find those questions while investing in themselves."

Today, The Company Coach embodies Nicolette's vision of connecting organizations with coaches who understand both the inner world of leaders and the practical demands of business. Her journey from corporate leadership to coaching represents her commitment to making mental wellbeing an integral part of professional success.

"When leaders connect with their authentic selves," Nicolette says, "they don't just become better leaders, they create healthier, more productive environments for everyone around them."
